Durrrr Challenge Update

 

Hello again everyone. Not much going on in the world of poker outside of the WSOP. I would however like to update the Durrrr Challenge and let you all know what it is if you don’t know yet, if you’re  seriously into poker and you don’t know what it is you must be living in a cave haha.

High-stakes player and online poker sensation Tom “durrrr” Dwan has issued an unprecedented challenge to the poker world. He has offered to put up $1.5 million to any opponent’s $500K, playing heads-up at four tables simultaneously for 50,000 hands.Once the last hand has been played, the player who is up – even by just one dollar – wins the Challenge. In short, if “durrrr” wins, he keeps any money he won during Challenge play and the challenger’s $500,000. If one of his opponents wins, they keep their winnings and the $1.5 million that “durrrr” has put up.

With Dwan laying 3-1 odds for the Durrrr Challenge 3 top poker pros have accepted the challenge with Patrik Antonius first then Phil Ivey and David Benyamine. The players who accept this challenge have to abide by the following conditions.

- The game type must be No Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha

- The stakes must be a minimum of $200/$400

- Once the stakes have been decided upon, they must stay the same for the entire challenge

- Players must reload if their stack falls below 75 big blinds at any time

With just under 35,000 hands left to play, there’s a long way to go. Durrrr may have bitten off more than he can chew in my opinion. They won’t be playing much until the WSOP ends. They play at Full Tilt Poker when they do with special tables marked for the Durrrr Challenge. I’ll update again when they start playing.
